Protection Program

Returns and Refunds

Mandatory remedies, seller return policies, and how returns run

The short version

Every seller must honor our minimum protection remedies. On top of that, sellers choose whether to accept discretionary returns for reasons like changing your mind, and that choice is shown before you accept an offer.

Remedies a seller cannot opt out of

  • The item was not received
  • The wrong item was received
  • The item was materially different from the accepted offer
  • The item was counterfeit, or required authentication failed
  • The quantity was wrong, or essential promised parts were missing
  • The item sustained covered shipping damage
  • Material defects or damage were not disclosed
  • The seller failed to fulfill, or the transaction must be cancelled by law or policy

Discretionary returns

For changed minds, wrong fit, or no longer wanting an item, the seller decides. Options include no discretionary returns, returns within a stated period, buyer-paid or seller-paid return shipping, a restocking fee where legally permitted, exchange only, or category-specific terms. A no-returns designation never removes buyer protection for non-delivery, counterfeits, material misrepresentation, undisclosed damage, wrong items, short quantity, or failed required authentication.

How an approved return runs

  • We issue a return authorization and say who pays return shipping.
  • We provide or approve a trackable return label.
  • We specify packaging, insurance, and signature requirements.
  • You ship within the required period and tracking attaches to the order.
  • The seller receives the item and gets a reasonable inspection period.
  • The refund completes, or a return dispute opens.
  • All evidence and status changes are preserved.

Higher-risk returns

We may require photos before shipment, video of packaging, a recorded weight, serial-number verification, tamper-evident labels, authentication-center routing, signature confirmation, third-party inspection, or additional shipping insurance.

Inspection periods

  • Standard shipped item: 48 hours after confirmed delivery
  • Authenticated item: 48 hours after delivery to the buyer
  • High-value or technically complex item: up to 72 hours where category rules justify it
  • Freight or unusually large item: category-specific
  • Verified local pickup: inspect before confirming, then a limited window for latent covered issues

When the clock does not start

  • Only a label has been created
  • The shipment is in transit or held at a facility
  • Delivery evidence is under review
  • Authentication is not complete
  • You reported a timely eligible problem, or we placed the order on hold
