Inspect first, then confirm with your code
The short version
For local pickup, the buyer pays through , inspects the item in person, and only then shares the one-time pickup code. Never give the code before you have the item in your hands.
How a pickup works
- The buyer pays through .
- The seller makes the item available at the agreed place and time.
- The buyer inspects the item before confirming possession.
- Both sides use a pickup code or QR confirmation.
- We record the date, time, accounts, transaction, and confirmation.
- The order completes or enters a short review state, and proceeds become eligible subject to risk controls.
What we may record
- One-time pickup code or QR confirmation
- Buyer and seller confirmations with timestamps
- Approximate authorized location
- Serial number or identifying details
- Optional handoff photographs
- Authentication status and a signed electronic receipt
Limits on pickup protection
Shipping loss and shipping damage protection do not apply to local pickup. After a verified pickup you generally cannot claim ordinary visible damage that you could reasonably have inspected and that matched the accepted offer. Protection can still apply to counterfeits, deliberately concealed material defects, a material identity mismatch, failed mandatory authentication, fraud, and rights that cannot legally be waived.
